Consultation
The first step is to consult with an experienced estate planning consultant. During this consultation, you will discuss your assets, your wishes for their distribution, and any specific concerns you have about how your estate will be managed after your death.
Product Selection
Based on your personal and financial circumstances, the consultant will recommend the best approach for your specific needs. This may include creating a simple will or establishing a more complex trust based will.
Payment
Once you have agreed to go ahead with the Product Selections, you will need to process the payment, upon receipt of the payment, a receipt will be issued immediately along with terms of business.
Taking Instruction
After the consultant has gathered information about your wishes, they will review this information with you to ensure that they have a clear understanding of your intentions. They will also answer any questions you may have about the process and make you aware of any ambiguity, if any.
Instruction Summary
The consultant will summarise the information received about your wishes, including who you would like to inherit your assets and how you would like your assets to be distributed. The consultant will furnish this information in writing and will request written consent, for example, regarding the appointment of guardians for your underage children, appointed Executors & Trustee and similarly other info as requested.
Draft stage
Once the summary has been approved, based on the information you have provided, the consultant will draft your will or trust document. This document will outline your wishes for the distribution of your assets and the management of your estate after your death.
Witnessing process
After the approval of the draft will or trust document, we will organize the process of witnessing the will. You will be required to sign it in front of witnesses, and vice versa. The witnesses must be adult individuals who are not beneficiaries of the will or trust.
Will Storage
The consultant will explain why it is beneficial to store your will or trust document in a secure location rather than keeping it at home, and if you agree, the final step is to store the original document with a professional storage company. They will provide you with a scanned copy of the document and a storage certificate for your records.
